Introduction: FSNews Store

FSNews Store is a new flight sim addon store on the market selling addons for both Prepar3D/FSX and X-Plane 11. Please, keep in mind, that this isn’t an advertisement, we just wanted to share with you what we’re trying to achieve and why did we opened our own store.

The idea of having our own store has come to our minds in October 2019, and the development has started a month later, in November. We were sure, that creating a normal store wouldn’t have much success, so we decided to do something that isn’t on the market yet.

We’ve found out, that not many people know how it currently works on the market. Basically, when a developer sells a product at stores such as SimMarket, he gets only 70% of the value. For example, if the developer sells a product for €30, he only gets €21 from each sale, and the store keeps the remaining €9! We do not want to blame SimMarket, this was just an example of the store that takes 30% commissions, there are many others!

We don’t think this is fair to developers. They work hard on their products and the store just takes 30% of the value as a middleman.

We are currently offering developers 15% commissions, which is the lowest we could go and still make at least some profit to keep the store running. It’s also the lowest commission any store offers on the market. When you purchase a product via the FSNews Store, let’s say, for those €30 mentioned earlier, the developer gets €25.5 instead of €21 with 30% commissions. This doesn’t seem like a big difference, but if the developer sells 10 products for €30, the difference there is €45 which he will lose because of the 30% commissions.

FSNews Store is offering the same, or better, features like other stores such as loyalty system, unlimited download speed or customer support. The products are directly from the developers, not from other stores, and you will get updates and support as in other stores.

I've been a flight sim enthusiast for some time now, and I've always enjoyed flying to various destinations all over the world, but my favourite airport is by far Corfu. I started this news site in May 2019 and since then my main goal is to keep you informed about the latest stuff happening on the scene.
