A new scenery has been released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 developed by RedFox Simulation and published by Aerosoft. The developer has released different heliports for MSFS in the past. This time they bring a new heliport located in Austria. The new scenery that RedFox Simulation brings to the simulator is St. Johann Heliport.
This heliport is home to Heli Austria and is mainly used for sightseeing flights and rescue operations in the Alps mountain range. This scenery brings multiple features like custom 3D Buildings and extensive photorealistic terrain with an accurate representation of the surrounding area, making this scenery come to life in the simulator.
About This Scenery
St. Johann Heliport is located in the city of St. Johann im Pongau in the province of Salzburg. It is the headquarters for the company Heli Austria which features sightseeing flights and rescue operations in the mountains. It offers 4 helipads with a fleet of two rescue helicopters and multiple Super Puma helicopters. This heliport has been operating since 2015 and has even been featured in a TV show.

The scenery that recreates St. Johann Heliport has been crafted to be as faithful as possible inside the simulator. They recreated the Heliport and the surrounding area which was important to the developer. The scenery features 3D models of the actual buildings from the heliport. Individual photorealistic textures for the terrain were also crafted by RedFox Simulations for this scenery. Small details scattered around the heliport were added by the developer. Night lighting is accurate compared to the real heliport with all 4 parking positions and the general take-off and landing platform recreated.

St. Johann Heliport is available for MSFS 2020 and 2024 via the Aerosoft Store for $9.99. Aerosoft published the system requirements of this scenery on the product page. The installation of this product is via the Aerosoft One application.
