Atelic took to their Facebook page earlier today to announce the release of their rendition of Dresden Airport (EDDC) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. The developer had officially announced ongoing development on the airport earlier this month, sharing several work-in-progress screenshots and features to expect.

About Dresden Airport (EDDC)

Dresden Airport, located in Klotzsche, nine kilometers north of Dresden city center, is an international airport serving the German state capital of Saxony. It was formerly known in German as Flughafen Dresden-Klotzsche. The airport serves as a base for Elbe Flugzeugwerke, a subsidiary of ST Engineering and Aerospace, and Airbus. EFW is tasked with freighter conversions and aircraft maintenance, including the Airbus A380. Dresden Airport primarily connects passengers to just a couple of European cities and several holiday destinations, with regular scheduled services offered by Air Cairo, Corendon Airlines, Eurowings, Lufthansa, and Swiss International Airlines.

Key Features

Atelic’s Dresden Airport for MSFS 20/24 features a handcrafted airport and landside area with an up-to-date airport layout, along with a fully modeled and realistic airport terminal interior, including the underground railway station. The airport also features accurate apron layouts, markings, stands, and parking positions, custom animated airport vehicles, a highly accurate terrain with realistic terrain slope, and a detailed recreation of the Elbe Flugzeugwerke hangar interior.

Furthermore, the team has also modeled realistic ground textures with wear, rubber marks, and weathering, fully functional custom jetways, high-quality PBR textures, and a detailed air traffic control tower interior. Atelic’s Dresden Airport also includes custom satellite imagery for the surrounding area, seamless integration with MSFS photogrammetry for the surrounding city, and a realistic night lighting environment. The scenery also comes with a custom GSX Pro profile.

Atelic’s Dresden Airport (EDDC) rendition can be purchased from the Aerosoft Store, Contrail Store, Flightsim.to Store, iniBuilds Store, the Orbx Direct Store, and the simMarket Store. The scenery retails for GBP 14.99 and is inclusive of taxes. The Atelic team has also released a launch trailer over on the iniBuilds YouTube channel, which can be viewed below.
