AuraScenery released the Roskilde Airport (EKRK) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, marking their second release for the platform, following their rendition of Aberdeen Airport (EGPD) from earlier this year. The team has been keeping us updated on the development of this new scenery via LinkedIn and Flightsim.to, and we have now got to the point where the scenery is now released.
Near Copenhagen, Roskilde Airport is located 7.4km southeast of Tune. It is a hub for general aviation, business jets, and training flights. Factors like cosiness and efficiency attract private travellers and aviation lovers. Two asphalt runways make it an excellent alternative to Copenhagen’s main airport and a great starting point for short trips above Denmark’s vibrant capital. It also provides a workplace for aviation companies with its aircraft hangars and hosts the Danish Air Force for search and rescue services.
The add-on offers highly detailed buildings and realistic interiors. It comes with high-quality dynamic lighting and detailed landscaping. HD materials and the perfect optimization of the models are also worth noting. Although these are the only features present on the website, there are more showcased in the release trailer.
The trailer also shows plenty of tiny details that add to the realistic interiors. You can find various waiting areas and briefing rooms across the airport, as well as more minor details like coffee cups and other equipment, to make your stay nicer. This is especially handy with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s new walkaround feature.
Roskilde Airport supports both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, and it is available on the iniBuilds website for ยฃ13.49, โฌ16.31, or $16.93. If you want to discover more airports for MSFS, you can view our UK2000 Scenery Guernsey Airport article here.
