Aviotek To Release Frankfurt for X-Plane Tomorrow

Aviotek Simulation Software announced yesterday that they are less than 48 hours away from the release of their new scenery which is Frankfurt Airport (IATA: FRA, ICAO: EDDF) for X-Plane 11 & 12.

Developers says that all future updates of the scenery for both X-Plane 11 & 12 will be completely free for users. We also understand that on release day, the scenery will be available for download for both versions of X-Plane 11 & 12.

A brief description of some of the features that the airport will include, such as over 150 thousand hand-placed objects, true-to-life textures of the strips and aprons, use of the latest PBR texture technologies and HDR night lighting.

A big plus is that the airport has custom animated jetways compatible with the SAM plugin.

Unfortunately, we haven’t found out if the studio has plans to develop Frankfurt for other platforms like MSFS
