The team at Axonos, responsible for a variety of sceneries for X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator, has unofficially announced their work on a scenery of Haneda Airport for both X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Facebook post shows road signs around this major Japanese hub and is the first official mention of this airport in the works by the developer.
The previews shared by Axonos are showing the road signs around Haneda Airport as objects that are going to be used in the scenery. These renders are fully modelled and textured, however, they do not show the signs in the airport environment, nor in a flight simulator engine.

Earlier, before this post was published, Axonos also made a public preview of vehicles from an undisclosed airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane 12. Some commenters under that Facebook post had guessed it is for Tokyo Haneda Airport, and that has been confirmed as a fact by the road signs previews. Moreover, the Tower of Winds, a local landmark near the Japanese airport was also showcased in one of the Facebook posts as far back as January.

It is worth mentioning that this is all subject to change, as the Axonos team didn’t make any official announcement, and the pieces of information are taken from both of these opaque preview posts. You can also read more about Axonos and their work in one of our previous articles here.
