Boundless, an X-Plane 11 developer responsible for a wide range of British X-Plane 11 sceneries has recently announced their work on Doncaster Sheffield Airport (EGCN). Boundless has shared this announcement through their Facebook page.
The airport is formerly known as Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield. It is an international airport, that used to serve as an RAF military airfield. The airport has only one runway 02/20, which is approximately 2900 metres long. Doncaster Sheffield currently has destinations across Europe, such as Burgas, Alicante, Antalya, Menorca or Lanzarote. It is mainly used by European carriers TUI, Wizz and BH Air.
The developer promises to create a detailed rendition of the airport. It will contain HD ortho imagery of the surrounding area and 3D vegetation. At the airport, we will be able to find custom 4K ground textures, custom ground vehicles and animated marshallers. The terminal is going to have a 3D interior and much more.
