Recently taking to their Facebook page, Cockspur has announced that they have been working on a Cessna 162 Skycatcher rendition for MSFS. Despite the project being labelled a “side project” by the developer, the announcement also noted that the project is “now ready for packaging” and can be expected for release “within the next few weeks”.
Cockspur, best known for their C510 Mustang for MSFS, announced the aircraft in collaboration with Haley Nicole (SparkyPilot86) and will be enhancing the aircraft through her real-life experience with the aircraft.
Although no details surrounding features have been released, the developer’s reputation from the C510 Mustang will undoubtedly have users expecting a high-quality aircraft. Two preview images were shared, suggesting that users should expect an eye-catching exterior model and high-quality cockpit. It was also announced that the developers have partnered with Rainer Flight Service to provide a number of liveries for the aircraft, which will come shipped with two variants; with or without wheel fairings.
Pricing and Availability
The aircraft has been announced for both PC and Xbox users, for which it will be available via the MSFS Marketplace or via the Cockspur website and will be priced at 19.99 USD. FSNews will keep you updated should there be any updates on this information.
