It was first revealed during Contrail’s presentation at FSExpo 2025 back in June this year. During this presentation at FSExpo, it was revealed what to expect regarding systems and features of this aircraft and a release window sometime in 2025.

The developer shared a new development update about this project on their Discord server. They provided insights into the progress made on the custom aircraft systems and highlighted additional features that will be included with this aircraft. Contrail also shared new screenshots of the FA50, offering a first glimpse of its cockpit.

The cockpit of this aircraft is also briefly talked about in this update. All textures of the cockpit have been added, matching the ones found on a real Falcon 50 for added realism. This is shown in a picture shared by Contrail showcasing the cockpit with the instruments and avionics working.

In terms of aircraft systems, Contrail reports good progress in the development. They are collaborating closely with actual pilots and mechanics of this type of aircraft, which provides valuable insights for the team at Contrail. Some of the shared pictures highlight the hydraulic system, wihch is showcased in this development update, illustrating how the elevator and control column in the cockpit respond when there is low pressure in the system.

This development update concludes with Lars stating that future updates about this project are coming as they progress with the development of this add-on. Stay tuned to learn more about this upcoming aircraft for MSFS 2020 and 2024 here at FSNews.
