Fenix Details Livery Improvements in A320 B2 Update

After yesterday’s announcement by Aamir, confirming that the Fenix A320 Block 2 update, featuring the highly anticipated IAE engines and general overhaul of the aircraft, is going to be released today, David, one of the developers shared some important information about the livery improvements in this update.

Aamir already promised to show off the A320 Block 2 update a bit more before the official release and the first pre-release tidbit shared talks about the liveries in this coming version of the aircraft. David opens his post by saying that little attention was drawn to liveries, even though they play a significant role in this update.

New Year, New Fenix

For the Block 2 update, they wanted to embrace the details and the immersion of all the possible liveries of the aircraft. Fenix’s in-house approach to liveries changed significantly over the past months. Thus, the Fenix team also hired some high-quality community painters to help with the work on default liveries that come in the Fenix Desktop App.

Fenix Unites the Painters Community

David then shows us all the painters in alphabetical order and their work on the A320 Block 2 update. Starting with Atarium Liveries, who obtained the Flightsim.to’s Painter of the Year award. He is renowned for his custom fleet packs and detailed cabin interiors.

The next talented painter is Comet133, who closely worked with Atarium liveries. David enhances the fact that Comet133 is skilled with the metallic properties of liveries and is using the simulator engine to his advantage as much as possible.

Comet133 is going to offer us a wide variety of in-house Fenix liveries, such as Aer Lingus, Scandinavian and the Hungarian low-cost Wizz Air.

David then goes on to greet is with Enzo, a relatively new name in the painters’ community. He mentions that Enzo mostly looked at the most tedious liveries to create that wouldn’t be picked up for a long time in their internal livery tracking tool.

Continuing the list, Jviation joined the Fenix painters team, too. David speaks about Jviation being dedicated to all the JetBlue liveries they had in the internal tracking system, as well as a number of North American liveries. Jviation is best known for his Delta liveries available on Flightsim.to.

And lastly, Tavers, who already has a long history with his repaints, is best known for PMDG liveries in Prepar3D and been Project Open Sky, is also contributing to Fenix with his creations. Especially the Oceania airline region is shown, with Air New Zealand being present, as well as Jetstar.

Additionally, David then shows the repainted aircraft interior of various European airlines, such as easyJet, Lufthansa or Eurowings. He promises that the Fenix team aims to provide the best possible quality by all means. Their aim is not to rush over 300 liveries to the Fenix Desktop App, but rather to lower the number of liveries, and significantly increase the quality.

This means that there aren’t going to be as many liveries available on release as with the first version of Fenix A320, but they will be in much greater immersive detail. Despite that, around 70 liveries are still going to be available nevertheless.

The release of the A320 Block 2 update is coming shortly, so stay tuned on FSNews.eu to not miss this highly anticipated release.
