FSDreamTeam Launches Vancouver for MSFS

FSDreamTeam have today released their new Vancouver International Airport (CYVR) scenery completely unexpectedly. Vancouver V2 is made for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The scenery is based on FSDT’s previous work on CYVR, but it is not a simple conversion. New features available in Microsoft Flight Simulator were added among other changes.

Vancouver International Airport serves the Vancouver metro area with a population of almost 2.5 million. It’s the third biggest metro area in Canada and the countries second-biggest airport. It’s a hub for Air Canada and WestJet, but also for regional and local airlines, serving the British Columbia province.

As mentioned earlier, this airport is not a simple port over. Two new extensions for Pier A and B have been modelled, adding more than 20 gates in total. This changed the way parking spaces were named, which you can now also see in the scenery. Dynamic Lighting has been made from scratch. It now utilizes the default MSFS DL system. The runways are sloped too, another MSFS feature. Finally, the jetways have been remade according to the MSFS SDK. A full feature list can be found below.

This scenery can be purchased for USD 9.99 on the FSDT website here (or €9.50). Owners of v1 are eligible for a discount and have been contacted by email. Existing owners can buy this scenery for €6.30. The same amounts apply for SimMarket too.
