FSDreamTeam releases Key West (MSFS)

FSDreamTeam releases Key West International Airport

FSDreamTeam just released a new airport, completely unexpectedly. This is FSDTs second product for Microsoft Flight Simulator, after Chicago O’Hare.

Key West International Airport (KEYW) is the southernmost airport in Florida. As the name suggests, it is located in the Florida Keys, an island chain of the southern tip of Florida. The airport has seen a sharp rise in passengers, serving more than one million passengers in 2019. That’s a yearly record for the airport. Even though it is an international airport, it sees no scheduled international flights. Only US domestic flights operate at this airport.

This airport is made for MSFS natively. It includes highly detailed building models and textures and uses only PBR materials. Some people in this scenery are modelled too. It features full dynamic lighting. The interior of some of the airport buildings is modelled too. A video was released as well, showcasing the scenery. In that video, we get a view of the airport area and how detailed the modelling is. We can see the interior of the control tower and hangars. You can watch the full video below.

If you’re interested in buying this addon, you can do so for $9.99 (without VAT). It is available from the FlightBeam website here and from SimMarket here. A release on the MSFS marketplace will follow soon.

I first got into aviation 5 years ago. I bought FSX: Steam Edition first and used that for about a year. I wanted something more realistic and decided to buy some addons and eventually upgrade to Prepar3D and that's what I still use today. I've always loved writing and doing research and am very happy to put it to good use here.
