Gaya Simulations Previews Vienna v1.2 Update (XP11)

Released for the Prepar3D and Microsoft Flight Simulator just about ten days ago, on January 4th, 2021; Gaya Simulations have today taken to their Facebook Page to provide the community an update on the upcoming version of Vienna Airport (LOWW) scenery for X-Plane 11.

The changelog is very similar to the one the Prepar3D/MSFS version update had. Based on that, we know, that the version 1.2 of the scenery for X-Plane 11 will feature new buildings, fixed approach light poles, added interior for the North Pier, new textures for the control tower, and added custom orange and blue taxi-lines to appropriate places.

Two screenshots directly from the simulator were included in the post and can be seen below. They are both showcasing the airport area during the dusk.

Based on the post, the update is “right around the corner”. No exact release date was mentioned. The update is expected to be free of charge for existing owners of the scenery.

Gaya Simulations has additionally reassured the community, that they have not forgotten about X-Plane 11 development and that it is not going to be changed in the foreseeable future.

In the meantime, the scenery can be purchased through the Orbx store for approximately €19.63.

Vienna International Airport (LOWW) serves as the main airport of the capital of Austria, Vienna. It is a hub for Austria’s national carrier, Austrian Airlines, as well as numerous low-cost carriers such as Ryanair, or Wizz Air. Annually, over 31 million passengers visit the airport.
