Gaya Simulations Shares New Vienna LOWW Close-Ups for MSFS 2024

Gaya Simulations posts new close-ups of Vienna International Airport (LOWW) for MSFS, with optimised LODs and Xbox support. No release date or price yet.

Gaya Simulations has shared a set of new close-up images of its Vienna International Airport (LOWW) scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, posted on its Facebook page. The developer says LOWW is the major airport at the centre of its current development focus, with intensive work continuing across the project.

Vienna International Airport, located southeast of the Austrian capital near Schwechat, is the country’s largest airport and a key hub for Austrian Airlines. It handles a mix of European and long-haul traffic, which makes it a busy and varied destination for virtual airline pilots.

According to Gaya Simulations, the airport is being built with high-quality LODs and strong optimisation in mind. The team says it is targeting excellent performance without compromising visual quality. The developer also confirmed that LOWW will be released for Xbox as well, so console users of the simulator are included in the plans.

The project follows other airport work from the developer that we have recently covered, including Santa Barbara and Madrid-Barajas. In the comments, a user asked whether updates to MSFS 2024 are planned for the Austrian airfields LOWZ and LOIJ. The developer replied that they are not sure and that any such updates would not come soon, so Vienna remains the priority for now.

No release date or price has been announced for Gaya Simulations’ Vienna scenery. The developer closed the post with “More soon”, so further previews are likely as development continues.
