iniBuilds has officially released Liverpool John Lennon Airport (EGGP) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing one of the United Kingdom’s most recognizable regional airports into the simulator with a highly detailed and immersive rendition. The scenery is now available through the developer official store, with a price of approximately €13.76 excluding VAT.

The add-on recreates Liverpool Airport, located southeast of Liverpool city centre, a key gateway to North West England. Known for its mix of low-cost, charter, and general aviation traffic, EGGP offers a dynamic operational environment with routes connecting the UK and Europe. With this release, iniBuilds aims to capture not only the airport layout but also the surrounding atmosphere, including the nearby River Mersey and urban environment.

This scenery features a detailed recreation of the airport infrastructure, including accurate runway and taxiway layouts based on current charts, high-quality terminal buildings, and realistic airside operations. The airport environment is further enhanced with animated elements such as airside buses and moving sailboats along the waterfront, adding an extra layer of immersion beyond the airfield itself.

The developer has also included a wide range of visual and technical improvements, such as custom ground textures, realistic night lighting, and performance-optimized models using Level of Detail (LOD) techniques. Additional details include custom taxiway signage, UK-specific ground clutter, and a GSX profile, ensuring compatibility with ground handling operations and enhancing the overall simulation experience.

Liverpool Airport supports a variety of airline operations, including low-cost carriers such as easyJet and Ryanair, as well as leisure airlines like Jet2 and TUI Airways. Regional connections are also represented by Aer Lingus Regional, alongside regular general aviation and business traffic, making EGGP a versatile destination for simmers.
