Just Flight, a well-known addon publisher and developer, has recently taken to their Facebook Page to share a new set of previews together with some information addressing the upcoming rendition of the BAe 146 for X-Plane 11.
A total of nine screenshots were included in the post. They are showcasing both the interior and exterior of the aircraft, including a single cabin preview. All nine images can be seen below. Based on the post, the development is progressing “nicely”.
A few hours after sharing the post, Just Flight has taken to the comment section to further address the FMC that will be featured in the aircraft. Based on that, it was said, that creating a custom FMC is not a simple task. Even if they would like to convert the Prepar3D variant.
It was further said on the FMC note: “We hadn’t given in but in the interests of getting the 146 out to you XP users we were considering going with the default version, our dev partners have other projects on the go and of course so do we so we have to weigh up all options.“
We were though reassured, that the developers are still looking into implementing a custom FMC in the future, but do not want to guarantee anything.
The post did not mention the release date nor pricing details, and so it remains unknown when can we expect this aircraft to come to X-Plane 11. The original release was scheduled to happen in January, it is unknown whether that is still a case.
The little quad-engine aircraft was a little uncommon but welcome sight in our skies from the 80s until the 2010s, while rare you can still see some, mostly in Iran. As a reminder, Just Flight is cooperating with Thranda on this project, and we will see the three passenger variants of the 146, being -100, -200 and -300.
