Orbx Releases Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

Orbx launches Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta for MSFS 2024 with sloped runways, detailed terminals, custom textures, lighting, and animated ground activity.

Orbx has released its rendition of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing one of the world’s busiest airports to the new simulator platform.

The scenery was created by Matteo Veneziani and includes an airport elevation profile with Atlanta’s sloped runway layout. The add-on also features terminal interiors based on reference material, custom ground textures, airport lighting, branded jetways, and animated ground activity around the airport. This includes service vehicles, ramp workers, and passengers positioned throughout the scenery.

Several airport systems and nearby buildings are also included in the package. Orbx’s KATL features animated Atlanta SkyTrain and Atlanta Metro systems with station areas, a custom VDGS docking guidance system, and correct airline gate assignments for AI traffic. The scenery also includes recreations of the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel, the Delta Flight Museum, and Delta Air Lines’ headquarters. A custom GSX profile by AviationBros and DanDan is included in the airport folder, and users can adjust several performance options through Orbx Central after installation.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the main airport serving Atlanta, Georgia, and is one of the busiest airports worldwide by passenger traffic and aircraft movements. The airport is a major hub for Delta Air Lines and also serves as a focus city for several other carriers. Its route network includes extensive domestic services across the United States, along with international flights to destinations in Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia.

Users who install the scenery are advised to disable the default KATL airport through Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s in-game Content Manager to avoid scenery conflicts. Orbx’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is available now for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 through Orbx Direct for 25.52 EUR plus tax.
