Shore Pilot Sim has released their first scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (MSFS2020) with a recreation of Long Beach Airport (KLGB), bringing an enhancement of one of Southern California’s most recognizable airports to the simulator.
Located around 20 miles (32 km) south of downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach Airport serves a diverse range of traffic, including scheduled airline flights, business aviation, flight training, and general aviation. The airport is known for its distinctive “Art Deco” terminal and offers a quieter alternative to nearby Los Angeles International Airport. It also has a rich aviation heritage, having been home to Douglas Aircraft manufacturing, where iconic aircraft such as the DC-3 and later the C-17 Globemaster III were built. Today, the airport is also home to aerospace companies including Relativity Space.
A Blend of Airline and General Aviation Operations
Long Beach Airport offers a varied flying environment. Scheduled commercial operations are primarily handled by Southwest Airlines, while the airport also supports a large volume of business jet, private, and training traffic. Combined with its three-runway layout and its location beneath the busy Southern California airspace, KLGB provides a wide range of opportunities for both IFR and VFR operations in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

What’s Included
According to the developer, the scenery accurately recreates four major sections of the airport: the passenger terminal area, the control tower and AeroPlex complex, the southwestern flight school district, and the Relativity Space facilities. The airport layout has been updated to reflect its current real-world appearance, including changes to former aircraft manufacturing sites.
The add-on includes custom-modeled buildings with PBR textures, bespoke runway markings and taxiway signage, animated airport vehicles, custom ground service equipment, dynamic lighting, and modeled underpasses beneath Runway 30. Airport-specific baggage carts and service vehicles have also been created to further enhance the experience.
Availability
Shore Pilot Sim’s Long Beach Airport (KLGB) is available now for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 via SIMMARKET. The scenery is priced at €11.90, has a download size of approximately 722 MB, and is installed through the SIMMARKET application.
