In a scenery release that’s sure to excite Scottish flight simulator users, Simulación Extrema announced the release of their scenery for Stornoway Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Stornoway Airport is located just east of the town of Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. Originally opened in the late 1930s for the Royal Air Force, the airport was a key air base for World War 2. Following the war, it continued to be used, but as a NATO forward operating base until 1998. Nowadays, Stornoway is mostly used for passenger flights, while also being home to some private aircraft as well.

According to Simulación Extrema’s release post on their website, the scenery project features 3D hand modeling of the airport’s terminal, as well as much of the interiors. Users will also find custom ground textures, and modeling of airport hangars, emergency vehicles, and some custom vehicles used specifically for Loganair operations at Stornoway.
The scenery is available now for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and can be purchased through the Simulator’s in-game marketplace.
