SimWorks Studios Releases PC-12 Legacy for MSFS 2024

SimWorks Studios releases its native PC-12 Legacy for MSFS 2024 with a CFD flight model and WT v2 avionics, at around €35, with a 50% upgrade discount.

SimWorks Studios has released a native Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 version of its Pilatus PC-12 (PC-12/47 Legacy) The aircraft was previously available for MSFS 2020. The developer says it has been rebuilt around the FS2024 SDK and keeps everything from the earlier version, with a list of improvements added.

The PC-12 is a single-engine turboprop built by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. It is known for operating from short, unprepared strips as well as paved runways, and it is flown as an executive transport, commuter, cargo aircraft and air ambulance. SimWorks says it developed the simulation with help from Pilatus Aircraft and Fly7 Executive Aviation. The team says it was flown in the real aircraft and spent a week training in the PC-12 simulator at the Fly7 Training Center in Lausanne, Switzerland, in order to recreate the handling as closely as MSFS allows.

The biggest change is an FS2024-native CFD flight model. According to the developer, it covers engine torque effects on yaw, flap behaviour including crosswind limitations, and custom fuel control and propeller beta and reverse operation. The package also adds a new engine bay and Working Title v2 avionics. A working in-flight entertainment system is included, as are three cabin configurations, 4- and 5-bladed propeller options and 11 liveries. The aircraft works with the PMS50 GTN750 and TDS GTNXi, and its own EFB offers instrument switching. Official MOZA presets for the AY210 and AY90 yokes are available as free extras.

Some features did not make the first release. In a follow-up message, the team said a Medevac interior is due within a couple of weeks, after a community poll. The first update, expected early next week, will move aircraft settings into the default MSFS 2024 EFB, and a second update will add a searchable manual. External power is planned for the first major update, because the plug model arrived late. The team is also working on reported issues and improvements such as a new fur model for the pilot seats. SimWorks adds that its PC-12NG and Kodiak 900 will now progress faster, and that an update on its Classic 8 is planned for Monday.

The PC-12 Legacy for FS2024 costs around €35 on the SimWorks Studios product page. Existing customers who bought the FS2020 version get a 50% discount, applied automatically at checkout. SimWorks says third-party vendors will receive the aircraft on Monday, and the Marketplace version is expected in one to two weeks.
