Synaptic Simulations has teased a redesigned Electronic Flight Bag for its Airbus A220 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Mike from the Synaptic team posted a single preview image in the developer’s community Discord server, offering a first look at the new tablet interface.
The post drew a positive response from the community. One user said the EFB now looks more like a real tablet, and another said it already looks far better than before. The developer was keen to temper expectations, though. Mike clarified that the new EFB is not coming in version 1.0.11 of the aircraft and that it still needs quite a bit of work. He also said the UI mockups were planned using Claude Design, a tool for AI-assisted design.

Asked about the date for 1.0.11, Mike did not give one and said the team is working on it. He explained that the delay came from a combination of the team being busy the previous week and its deployment pipeline failing after some upgrades.
A user also asked whether the wallpaper can be changed. Mike answered that he would like to make it possible, but needs to figure out the best way to do it first. No release date for the EFB update has been announced.
