TDS Sim Releases GTNXi Full Virtual Cockpit Integration

Through their Facebook page, TDS Sim has announced the release of a new major update for their GTNXi navigation systems for Microsoft Flight Simulator. What the addon does, is that it implements the Garmin GTNXi units into default aircraft, thus offering flight simmers a much more accurate and enjoyable navigating.

With the most recent update, TDS Sim has introduced a full virtual cockpit integration allowing the users to work 100% with the units placed in the cockpit. It is important to stress, however, that this feature does only work with a limited amount of addons. Currently, limited only to Just Flight’s Piper PA-28R and PA-28 addons.

On a better note, the units are now also compatible with virtual reality headsets.

In the future, we can anticipate the units to be fully compatible with SimWorks Studios’ RV-14, FlySimWare C414, and the well-known Hype Performance Group H145. Other planned supported addons weren’t disclosed yet.

It is unfortunately very unlikely that the GTNXi units will be anytime soon available in the default aircraft as the aircraft developers have to adjust their models to make them compatible.

In the meantime, the TDS GTNXi can be purchased through the developers’ website in a discount for €39.95.
