X-Craft has released version 3.1.0 of its free E-Jets add-on for X-Plane. The update introduces several functional improvements and ensures compatibility with the latest version of the simulator.

According to X-Craft, the new version adds a weather radar feature available in X-Plane 12.3.0. Other changes include improved navigation map visuals and behavior for situational awareness, resolved display transparency issues, and several Multi-Function Display (MFD) refinements intended to improve overall operation. Compatibility with X-Plane 12.3.0 has also been confirmed.

The developer stated that this update continues support for the free E-Jets package, which has been downloaded over 50,000 times. X-Craft explained that not all users are able to purchase payware aircraft, and the continued development of the free E-Jets aims to provide broader access to the community.

Alongside the free version, X-Craft is also developing the next-generation E-Jets 3.0, a payware product currently planned for release in 2026. The upcoming package is expected to include a custom autopilot system with holding patterns, enhanced cockpit textures and animations, improved Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) functionality, SimBrief integration, and expanded aircraft systems. The developer described the new version as a more in-depth simulation of the Embraer regional jets compared to previous iterations.

X-Craft noted that while most development efforts are currently directed toward E-Jets 3.0, the team intends to maintain ongoing updates for the free version to ensure continued usability and access to new X-Plane features, such as the weather radar introduced in version 12.3.0.
