Macco Simulations Releases Cancun Airport for MSFS

Macco Simulations have released their new scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The release of the scenery is highly anticipated within the developer’s channels, being their third scenery ever released from the group.

It follows their renditions of Birmingham Airport (EGBB) and Manchester Airport (EGCC), both situated in the United Kingdom. Cancun Airport (MMUN) is then, obviously, located elsewhere, that being Mexico.

Maxx explained why he decided to recreate Cancun for MSFS in an interview with FSNews. You can read that by clicking here.

Nonetheless, the scenery comes with a very nice price tag of £11.99, thus about €14.40. You can expect to see the usual features. To name a few, fully custom jetways, utilisation of 4K textures with PBR materials, basic interior modelling or custom static vehicles.

Further, the developers have implemented custom lighting across the aprons at the airport. Maxx has, in an interview with FSNews, explained that unfortunately, the scenery will not feature the newest Terminal 4 in the initial release version.

Fortunately enough, that has changed, and Maxx managed to complete work on the terminal, and it is included in the release version of the scenery.

If you want to purchase the scenery, you can do so through the Macco Simulations website for about €14.40. The scenery will also later appear in the in-game Marketplace.

Cancun Airport (MMUN) is an international airport located on the eastern coast of Mexico. The airport currently has four active terminals and sees over 20 million passengers annually. It sees traffic from all around the world. If you have enough luck, you can experience simultaneous parallel takeoff or landing at the airport. You can also take a look at the highest ATC tower in Latin America in Cancun.
