Orbx Releases Sandane Airport for MSFS 2024

 

Orbx have released Sandane Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Developed by Orbx indie developer Andreas Hegi, Sandane Airport is a small regional airport in West Norway. The add-on features a highly detailed rendition of Sandane.

About Sandane Airport (ENSD)

Sandane Airport is a small regional airport in the Norwegian County, Vestland. It has a 3,182ft long runway and opened on the 1st of July 1975. The airport served de Havilland Canada Twin Otters. In 1987, the terminal was expanded, and the runway was expanded in 2010.

The airport was often subject to severe wind and had to cancel flights frequently. Initially, the tower had two personnel and two more for other operations. The terminal building was small and built for the 20 seat Twin Otter. The Dash 8 replaced the Twin Otters in the early 1990s.

Orbx’s Sandane Airport

Developed by indie developer Andreas Heegi, Sandane Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 offers a detailed rendition of the real airport. It has many additional features to enhance the appeal, with everything made from scratch.

It features 2K textures and PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures. These are enhanced with custom ground decals. The developer has included a 60 cm ortho with custom approach lighting and lots of custom ground equipment.

The terminal building and other small buildings have been modelled with accuracy. Fences, ground equipment, utilities, and other small details have all been modelled to enhance the scenery’s accuracy and realism.

Sandane Airport for MSFS 2024 is available now on the Orbx Store for โ‚ฌ11,41. This product was made for MSFS 2024 and is not compatible with MSFS 2020. You can read more about similar releases from Orbx here on FSNews.
