Following with A2A Simulations’ trend of continuing to update their Piper Aerostar 600 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the team revealed their latest update to the addon on Tuesday. As per the post on the team’s Facebook page, this update was focused on one theme – visuals.
The team dubbed this update, technically v0.9.5, as the “filthy” update, and there’s no doubt that was the theme. A few additions include persistent dirt and mud accumulation over time, details on propeller spinners and updated main textures. That said, the team did note in the post that A2A made many changes not in the change log, as well. According to A2A, users will “notice right away it is ‘different’ and upgraded in its quality”.

– Added persistent dirt and mud accumulating over time
– Added button to wash the aircraft in the EFB Maintenance tab
– Added missing details to the propeller spinners
– Autopilot: Fixed GA mode not activating from GS
– Body shake physics from engine and buffeting
– Enlarged walkaround volumes
– Fixed clamshell door animation
– Fixed prop governor side on the engine models
– Fuel drain bottle visibility can be toggled now, off by default
– Landing Gear Up light is amber
– Low fuel warning fixed
– Magnetos don’t flicker when there is no fuel in the tank
– Parking brake animation and persistence corrected
– Quickview camera definitions
– Reduced the visibility of blurred streaks on the blurred spinner
– Removed clearcoat material from exterior model
– Removed protruding objects on the rear wall of the cockpit
– Saving HydrAuxSwitch
– Support for “Custom” starting location on the MSFS map
– Updated main textures
– Visors folds out more, tooltips fixed
– [Tablet] Lubrication oil adds weight
The A2A Simulations Aerostar 600 addon remains in Early Access for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Those who have already purchased it can download the newest update through the A2A store, while those wanting to purchase the addon can do so through A2A’s website.
