There’s a new developer on the scene, Aeroscape, and iniBuilds just took to their Discord to announce the release of Aeroscape’s rendition of Southampton Airport (EGHI) for X-Plane 12. The new developer has faithfully recreated England’s port city in the world of X-Plane 12.
About Southampton (EGHI)
Southampton Airport (EGHI), the primary airport serving the port city of Southampton, England, is located 4 miles north-northeast of downtown Southampton. The airport handled almost two million passengers during 2016, making it the 18th busiest airport in the UK. The airport is also used by operators for flying instruction and is owned and operated by AviAlliance. By March 2020, 95% of traffic in and out of Southampton was operated by Flybe until the airline went into administration and then ultimately ceased operations nine months after its re-launch in 2022.

Key Features
Aeroscape’s first-ever product for X-Plane 12, Southampton Airport, features hand-made ground polygons with crisp, bespoke textures, true-to-life airport landside recreation with custom ground decals, signposts, vegetation, etc., and highly detailed, custom Ortho imagery. Furthermore, the dev team has accurately modeled and positioned dynamic lighting across the airfield, bespoke taxi signage mirroring the real-world location, and custom-built jetways with realistic variations using PBR textures and animations.
The devs have also added accurate logos and real-world decals scattered throughout the airport, hand-placed ground equipment, a detailed, custom terminal interior model, and highly detailed models of all airport buildings, objects, and surroundings.
