Aerosoft Cancels Simple Traffic Development

An add-on that has been only recently announced got a rather sad update for the part of the community that has been looking forward to it. By the root admin, Mathijs Kok has been announced the cancellation of the development of the Simple Traffic add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

According to Mathijs Kok, the project is dead. It is because of the Sim Update 5, that according to the developers wrecked the project, as it changed the AI traffic and encrypted the files they were depending on. In addition to that, among the known issues in the latest hotfix are crashes to a desktop that can occur while flying with AI traffic.

Mathijs Kok has also said this project is not postponed as of yet. If there are any possible ways of implementing the add-on into the simulator, they’ll make it. However, they need Microsoft Flight Simulator to be a stable platform.
