One week after the initial release date, Aerosoft has finally made its CRJ v2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator available to the public. Featuring a completely redesigned cabin, along with a revised flight model, the aircraft had to undergo last-minute tweaks before being released today.
New Features & Compatibility
Aerosoft has fully implemented Navigraph Charts in this new version, allowing a better immersion in all phases of flight. A revised flight model was added, as well as a cabin overhaul that allows movement along the cabin aisle, elevating the immersion. A full changelog is expected to be provided with the release, which will include more details such as bug fixes and improvements that have been made throughout this week.
Statement from Aerosoft Regarding Delay
One week ago, Benjamin, from Aerosoft, made a statement on the CRJ v2 release date. The aircraft, finally released today, had to be unexpectedly delayed in order to “ensure the best possible quality and that the update ships with as few issues as possible.” The team understands that the community has been eagerly waiting for the update, but the developer preferred to release it today, rather than last week in an “incomplete state.”
Pricing & Product Review
The CRJ v2 is now available as a complete bundle for MSFS 2020 and 2024, featuring the CRJ 550, CRJ 700, CRJ 900, and CRJ 1000. The price for the entire bundle is 49,99€ (incl. VAT). Customers who already own the CRJ v1, regardless of which version, are entitled to get the bundle for free. The product’s trailer can be found here.
One of our authors, Asa, was able to review the aircraft before it was released today. Note that his review does not take into account possible improvements that were made on the aircraft throughout this week. Check out “The Aerosoft CRJ v2 is a Homecoming – For Better and for Worse.”
