Aerosoft – Development Update

Aerosoft, a German flight sim addon seller and developer, has today published a post on their forums regarding the Airbus series for P3D future development and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. I will try dividing the article into two parts – Airbus series and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

Airbus series for Prepar3D

Mathijs Kok, an Aerosoft forum administrator, wrote in the post, that Aerosoft is no longer going to publish big updates to their Airbus series for Prepar3D since they don’t find it worth it.

So clearly we are not looking forward to redoing the A318/319/320 and 321 to the latest standards. It will mean many many months of work (as we do not just want to drop some {BBR textures but do it as it should be done) and will bring in almost no new sales. Asking an update fee for this is not really our style.

Airbus A330 Professional development will continue normally. Aerosoft also confirmed in the post, that we should expect a small update soon which will add an EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) to the A318/319/320 and 321. After that update, we can still expect small updates focusing on open issues. CPDLC might be also finished later.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Aerosoft is looking forward to developing and selling addons for MFS2020. Aerosoft does not know yet how much of their aircraft will be ports and how much will be done to the new standards, but Mathijs Kok confirmed, that current owners of the aircraft for P3D will get a discount for the MFS2020 version. The first aircraft we will see in MFS2020 from Aerosoft will be the Airbus series (A318/319/320/321), CRJ series and maybe Twin Otter (not confirmed yet).

If you want to purchase Aerosoft Airbus series, CRJ series or Twin Otter you can do so via the FSNews Store.
