Something many users of the Aerosoft CRJ series had been asking for – dating back to the addon’s release at the start of the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 era – has finally arrived. The team announced the release of version 2.1.10 of the addon at the end of June, containing substantial upgrades to nearly every facet of the aircraft.

The CRJ addon, which was one of Microsoft Flight Simulator’s very first payware addons when the 2020 version released, had been noted by many to be struggling to keep up with other addons available on the market. In particular, issues with LNAV tracking and an unrealistic handling of the overall controls were often complaints Aerosoft heard from users.
Overall, the update will most certainly be known for being a major update focusing on the dynamics of flying the regional jet. In particular, the team created a brand-new flight model and engine system. The new model, according to Aerosoft, is focused on improving realism and responsiveness.

Other improvements have also been made to smaller items, such as seat position indicators, the gear lever, air outlets and much more. So far, the response from users appears to be positive, with many users sharing on social media that the aircraft feels easier to fly with the new flight model.
The update is available now on Aerosoft One, and is expected to be available on the in-game Marketplace as well in the near future. Users who are looking to purchase the addon, as well as those looking to view the full changelog from version 2.1.10, can find both on Aerosoft’s website.
