Aerosoft’s Highly Anticipated Frankfurt Airport for MSFS Released

Recently, the developer Aerosoft announced that the release of their Frankfurt International Airport (EDDF) is imminent, and as of today, the 5th of September, the scenery is available for everyone to purchase. The release has been announced through Aerosoft’s social media, together with a trailer by AviationLads.

It has been a year and a few months since the initial announcement at FSExpo 2023 and thus the scenery has come a long way in its development cycle. The developer recreated the airport with its up-to-date perks, comparable to real-life Frankfurt Airport. This includes all the terminals, surrounding buildings, and the new terminal’s construction area.

The 3D models at this airport are highly detailed and covered in high-resolution PBR textures. The terminals also include 3D interiors, and they are surrounded by lifelike airport life, with 3D passengers and animated vehicles. From the pilot’s perspective, most of us will appreciate the presence of Aerosoft VDGS, making the ground operations a tad more realistic and easier.

Among the main scenery features, we can also notice that Aerosoft recreated the surrounding aerial image, covering the airport and its close vicinity. The aerial imagery covers a custom terrain elevation mesh and runway profiles, all of which are laid on an as up-to-date airport layout as possible.

A custom GSX Pro profile is included in the release package, too.
