Airworthy Designs previews TNCM, TFFG for MSFS

Scenery developer Airworthy Designs has taken to Facebook to preview some new screenshots in MSFS of their work on the infamous Sint-Maarten (TNCM) and Grand Case-Espérance (TFFG) airports.

Airworthy designs announced in August this year that they would start development on TNCM and TFFG for MSFS based off of the popular “Princess of the Caribbean” scenery for X-plane 11. This is a highly detailed rendition of TNCM and TFFG airport which includes custom objects, orthophotos, detailed ground texturing, and much more.

Airworthy Designs new posts show images of their progress and most notably the Sunset bar and surrounding buildings with spectacular night lighting.

Princess Juliana Airport (TNCM) is infamous for being one of the most dangerous airports in the world, with a beach located just short of the runway which allows visitors to stand and watch aircraft as they pass just meters above them. KLMs Boeing 747 did this every day for many years. The airport also has a short runway which makes it even more of a challenge for pilots. Grand Case-Espérance airport is also featured in the package, home to smaller operations for turbo-prop aircraft for regional commutes to neighbouring islands.

No release date has been given for the product, but Airworthy Designs state that after this scenery is completed they will shift focus to South American scenery, and even intend on developing scenery for real-world training.
