Area 77 releases Okavango Delta Airport for X-Plane 11

 

Area 77, a developer responsible for scenery of Porto for X-Plane 11, has released their rendition of freeware Okavango Delta Airport scenery.

As mentioned, this scenery pack is a freeware, and is available to download through the X-Plane.org forums. In short, Okavango delta is an inland delta located in Bottswana. It is very swampy and all the water is evaporated and transpired. It does not flow into any sea or ocean.

In this scenery package, we can find 5 safari camps, 5 airfields, camp tents with helipads, highly accurate buildings modelled, detailed airport objects, vehicles and vegetation, custom surroundings, 26 helipads, and much more. The full feature list is listed below.

Features

  • 5 airfields: Abu (FB00), Chief’s Camp (FBPJ), Mombo airfield (FB50), Nxabega (FB57) and Xigera (FB95);
  • Camp tents with helipads;
  • Highly accurate buildings modelled;
  • Detailed airport objects, vehicles and vegetation;
  • Custom textured runways and helipads;
  • Custom surroundings buildings
  • 26 helipads;
  • Hundreds of animals;
  • Custom water, roads, pavement and PBR textures;

If you’d like to create ortho for this location, you’ll have to build a main tile at -20+22, and the surrounding orthos at -19+22, -19+23, -20+23, -21+22 and -21+23.
