Atetlic took to their Facebook page to announce the release of their rendition of Madeira Airport (LPMA) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Atelic seems to be a new developer in the Microsoft Flight Simulator add-on landscape. According to their website, they were established as a studio in 2023. The airport scenery is their first-ever product release for the platform.
About Madeira Airport
Madeira Airport, informally Funchal Airport, and officially Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport, is an international airport in the civil parish of Santa Cruz in the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira. It is located 13.2 kilometers east-northeast of the regional capital, Funchal, and is the fourth-busiest in the country. The airport was named after Madeiran native Cristiano Ronaldo, who is a popular football player. The airport is known as the “Kai Tak” of Europe because the singular runway involves a visual circle-to-land approach involving a turn of ~180º. Runway 05/23 is also tabletop as there are steep dropoffs at each end.

Key Features
Atelic’s Madeira Airport for MSFS features a highly detailed handcrafted airport area, high-definition terrain, an up-to-date ground layout, and a fully modeled terminal interior. Further features include custom vehicles, accurately reflected runway slopes, enhanced night lighting, and custom-placed buildings on the hills around the airport. Atelic has also included a modeled statue of Cristiano Ronaldo located on the airport premises.

Other features also include animated ground traffic, go-karts, windsocks and flags, a lead-in lighting system, modeled roads in the vicinity of the airport, and a detailed runway bridge structure. The developers have also modeled the nearby Caniçal Port, Santa Cruz Village, other detailed models of buildings on the runway 05 approach including Hotel Vila Galé, Gelo buildings, Aquaparque Madeira, etc., and custom vegetation around the airport.
