Barelli MSFS addons released Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (HAAB) for Microsoft Flight Simulator just 2 days ago. They made numerous high-detailed airports around the world and now, they surprise us from Ethiopia.
Addis Ababa Bole International, formerly known as Haile Selassie I International, is an airport located near the center of the city of Addis Ababa. It is the main hub of Ethiopian Airlines and also the base of the Ethiopian Aviation Academy. In other words, it is the country’s aviation center. It supports heavy aircraft, so it may be the perfect airport for the upcoming FlyByWire A380X.
Also, the Ethiopian Airports Enterprise announced an expansion project at the airport in 2010. The project will include the expansion of the aircraft parking capacity to accommodate heavier aircraft such as the Boeing 747 and 777.
Barelli Addons Addis Ababa Features
The airport comes with detailed models and high-resolution textures. For the curious ones among us, the terminal interior is also modeled. You can expect up-to-date runway, apron, and stand layouts. It has accurate terrain elevation and runway profile. There is realistic dynamic lighting for your night ops and custom animated flags, jetways, and windsock. You can also find those Ethiopian Airlines facilities mentioned in the add-on such as the Cargo Facility or Maintenance Repair and Overhaul buildings.
The Addis Ababa Intl. Airport add-on can be purchased via the iniBuilds website for ยฃ12.45, โฌ14.94, or $16.14. If you want to discover new airports, you can view our Lisbon Rebooted for MSFS article here.
