MK Studios Releases Lisbon Rebooted for MSFS

MK Studios has recently released its rendition of Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport (LPPT) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. With this release, the developer has significantly revamped its previous Lisbon scenery for MSFS that it released in 2021, hence the ‘reboot.’

Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport

Located just four miles away from the center of Portugal’s capital city, Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport is the main airport serving the city. Despite having only one runway, it is one of the largest airports in Europe and the busiest single-runway airport in mainland Europe.

Its proximity to the city, while providing an interesting approach, has led to serious noise and environmental pollution that has driven the construction of a new airport named Luís de Camões. Humberto Delgado is expected to close in 2034 once the new airport is operational.

MK Studios’ rendition of Lisbon Airport is highly detailed. It features PBR textures, custom jetways, custom ground vehicle models, and custom taxi signs. Taxiway, approach, and runway lights have all been custom-modeled as well. Some of the finer details include modeled terminal interiors at some of the most important parts and custom objects for many of the signs and buildings surrounding the airport. An up-to-date ground layout ensures taxiways and gate numbers are accurate to the real airport.

MK Studios Lisbon is available through various stores for €16.99 EUR. Owners of the previous Lisbon sceneries from MK Studios have special upgrade discounts available and a future MSFS2024 update will be provided for free.
