BlueBird Simulations has released its monthly development update video, sharing news and progress regarding their 757 add-on aircraft coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. This time, they released a shorter video to announce that this add-on will not be released this year. During the last development update in September, they talked about the possibility of a release at the end of the year. They are now completely sure about pushing the release of this add-on, sharing their reasons for this decision in this video.
The developer is committed to making a good first impression with this add-on. BlueBird wants to release a proper aircraft that will please the community. During the video, they also stated that they will no longer give a release window for the 757. According to the developer in the video “The plane will be ready when it’s ready”, they will post information about the state of the 757 via their development updates and social media as they become available.

This update video for the 757 also focuses on more information about this add-on. Next month, BlueBird is going to take a look at the systems of this aircraft. Footage of the FMC from this aircraft was shown in this video as a teaser for next month’s development update. Images regarding what looks like the galley and external door of this aircraft were also shared in this video. Different wingtip variations of the 757 available with this add-on were shown in an external image of the 757.

BlueBird once again stated that this add-on is initially releasing for MSFS2020. The developer will release a specific version for MSFS2024 as a free update sometime in the future after the initial release. They stated that in theory, the 2020 version can work in MSFS2024. However, the 2020 version will not have the native features of MSFS2024 implemented. More information about the compatibility will be shared close to the release of this add-on.
