MJ, Lead 3D Modeller at BlueBird Simulations, announced the pricing for the 757-200 and -300 passenger variants and shared insights into the aircraft’s ongoing development process. In the video, he also discussed the company’s attendance at FSExpo 2025, including details of the aircraft’s showcase, and concluded by providing information about the Boeing 767 and the company’s goals going forward.
BlueBird Simulations Boeing 757 Pricing
MJ announced that the Boeing 757 package, which includes the -200 and -300 passenger variants with two engine options, will be priced at $80, inclusive of VAT. Initially, the product will be available through the BlueBird Simulations website and Just Flight store, with availability on the MSFS 2020 and 2024 Marketplace to follow at a later stage.

It is important to clarify that, although the pricing has been revealed, there was no information regarding the product’s exact release date provided. MJ clarified that the reason for the early announcement was:
“We get asked this a lot, and it’s at least one question for the community that I can answer. The other one we get asked a lot is the release date, which I have no information on.”
BlueBird Simulations Boeing 757 Beta Testing and Development Progress
MJ also provided new insights into the ongoing development of the Boeing 757. He began by outlining the team’s beta testing plan for the 757.
According to MJ, the project is approaching Stage 1 of beta testing, which will involve a small group of testers with deep knowledge of the 757’s systems. This phase will focus primarily on fixing bugs related to basic aircraft systems like the electronics, fuel, pneumatics and hydraulics.
Stage 2, which MJ said is still several months away, will expand testing to cover the FMS, engine behaviour, and landing gear systems. The team’s goal here will be to identify and resolve major bugs before entering the final testing phase.
Stage 3 will be the final stretch of development, involving around 60 beta testers. This phase is expected to be the shortest of the three, as by then, the team expects most major bugs will have been resolved in the previous phases.
Summary of the 757’s Development Progress
Later in the video, MJ explained that over the past several months, development focused on refining cockpit animations, along with making some progress on the cabin interaction system. With the team currently pushing to enter the first beta phase, system work has been a key area of progress, with particular attention given to the pneumatics and fuel systems to enable realistic engine startup procedures. This work aims to build foundations for more accurate failure simulations in the future.

Work has also continued on hydraulics and flight control behaviours, which are all custom-coded. This included the stall protection and warning system, for example. Additionally, more than 250 virtual cockpit sound samples have been worked on by Boris Audio Works, using source material recorded by a real-world 757 pilot.
BlueBird Simulations FSExpo 2025
BlueBird Simulations will be one of many exhibitors at FSExpo 2025. They will showcase the 757 in its current state and will also host giveaways for attendees. If you’re interested in more information about FSExpo 2025, such as the list of other exhibitors or the floor plan, you can read more about it here on FSNews.
Boeing 767 Development Progress
Along with the 757, development of the Boeing 767 has been ongoing for over two years, but most of the work is being carried out by a separate team to ensure that progress on the 757 remains unaffected. The project is still in its early stages, and the team is committed to matching the fidelity of the exterior model with the 757.

MJ commented:
“I hope by these screenshots you can get an idea about the amount of detail in the 767 but also, it’s going to set a standard for our future models to make sure that we have just as much detail if not more”.

Since the developers are equipped with a larger code base to begin with, MJ projects that the 767 project won’t take as long to complete, as many of the systems, displays, and avionics logic will be reused, reducing the need to build things from scratch.
Future Plans and Closing Notes
BlueBird Simulations has evolved from a small team focused on releasing its first product into a developer aiming for long-term growth. MJ outlined how the company’s goals have shifted over time:
“Four years ago, the goal was just to get a product out and make a name. Now, we’re shooting to be a top-tier developer. We have the talent, it’s just about finding the time. We’re here for the long haul.”
This comprehensive video shows BlueBird Simulations is progressing steadily, but the lack of a firm release date suggests there’s still significant work ahead.
