Boundless has recently announced the release of their Bournemouth Airport (EGHH) rendition for X-Plane 11 through their Facebook page.

Initially opened as an airbase for the RAF during the 1940s, Bournemouth Airport has now become an international and regional hub, located 6km north of Bournemouth. Ryanair and TUI have based aircraft at the airport and are operating routes to short and medium-haul destinations.

Boundless has maintained their high standard of work by including high-quality distinct features of the airport. These include the dismantled airplanes and the modelled solar panels near the threshold of runway 08. The airport is modelled using custom 4K PBR textures, accurately replicating the terminal as well as the taxiways.

The developer has also included the latest Ortho textures for both the airfield and the surrounding area, providing simmers with superior terrain that is replicated to a high degree of accuracy. This rendition is also compatible with Orbx’s TrueEarth GB South.

This scenery is available for purchase on Boundless Direct, priced at €16.31.

Notable Features

  • Accurate Airport layout
  • 2020 HD (25cm) Ortho of the airport and nearby area
  • PBR 4K custom ground textures
  • HD PBR Building textures
  • Custom airport ground vehicles (static and animated)
  • Full custom night lighting
  • Nearby business park included

My love for aviation was sparked in 2013 at Le Bourget Airshow, after seeing the A380 doing its spectacular display. Since then, I have turned to flight simulation to experience the thrill of being in command of aircraft. My passion for writing as well as my strong interest in aviation has led me to join this fantastic team and contribute to the flight sim community with punctual and reliable articles on the latest news and events.
