Carenado Announces C337 for MSFS

In a post on their Facebook page, Carenado has announced a new aircraft in development for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Once released, the Cessna Skymaster rendition is going to be the eight aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator from Carenado.

While no information was disclosed on the expected features and offerings, based on the previous releases from Carenado we can expect it to feature PBR materials on top of high-resolution textures, custom sound effects, and realistic flight dynamics.

As with all Carenado addons, it’s clear from the previews that the developer’s biggest focus is on the visuals.

Carenado has decided to recreate the C337 Super Skymaster variant of the Cessna Skymaster aircraft range. This variant is specific by the retractable landing gear, redesigned nose cowling, and greater wing angle of incidence (angle of the wing relative to the fuselage).

The Cessna Skymaster is a twin-engine aircraft built between 1963 and 1982. It can take up to 6 people including one pilot with a range of over 900 nautical miles and a service ceiling of 19,500 feet. With not-so-typical engine locations, the aircraft handles differently and has no one-engine-out minimum controllable speed (Vmc). This makes it not as critical to fly with one engine.

No information was disclosed on the topic of the expected release date or pricing details.
