Continuing along the Famous Flyer series, the Microsoft Flight Simulator team has taken to its social media to announce the release of the Cessna 185F Skywagon. Being the number 11 in the series, the aircraft is now available for free in MSFS 2024 and for a fee in MSFS 2020 through the in-sim Marketplace.

The Cessna 185F Skywagon

The aircraft started as a variant of the Cessna 185 Skywagon in 1973 until its production ended in 1985. It includes several improvements from the 185 Skywagon line, such as a refined wing, updated instrument panel, and better external lighting. Manufactured by the American company Cesnsa, known for the classic C172, the 185F Skywagon is a single-engine, six-seat light utility airplane. It serves as a multi-purpose aircraft, highlighting its STOL (short takeoff and landing) capabilities.

Coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator

With the help of Carenado, the Microsoft Flight Simulator team presents the Cessna 185F Skywagon for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. Recreated with precision, aviators can now “jaunt around the globe in this storied machine,” exploring the different environments for which it was made.
