Commercial Simulation Systems (CSS), the developer behind the 737 Classic family for Microsoft Flight Simulator, has released a new development update on their Discord Server. It has been one month since the developer published the previous update related to this matter. CSS is bringing a brand-new sound pack for its 737 Classic fleet in partnership with Immersive Audio. The developer posted a video along with their development update showcasing some of the new sounds.

The Immersive Audio Soundpack for the 737 Classic was first announced back in June this year by the developer via Discord. This announcement was made after the release of the 737-300 and -400 that same month. The company behind this new pack, Immersive Audio, is partnering with CSS to bring this new sound pack, replacing the existing sounds from this add-on in a free update. This pack will bring new high-quality authentic sounds, featuring spatial audio and more.

After the initial announcement, CSS released the next preview in August, with a one-minute video of some of the new external sounds emitted by the aircraft. Since that small preview, CSS has released a bigger development update on this audio pack. This update comes with an apology from the developer for the long wait due to technical issues. It deep dives into more sounds of the 737 Classic, presenting all the work that has been done.

The September development update for the audio pack features an 11-minute video from cold and dark to after takeoff inside a 737 Classic. The developer points out some of the audio you can identify within the video, like the APU Generator voltage changes, new Avionics, Packs, Brake Whine, new cabin Engine sounds, and more. The video showcases sounds both inside the cockpit and in the cabin to differentiate between the two. You can listen to the audio preview by CSS here.

The developer has not shared additional information about this sound pack. However, they did state that this update will be launching soon, confident that we will experience it “very soon”, with no official date announced. Stay tuned for further information about this coming update.
