DC Designs Concorde Development Update for MSFS 2024

DC Designs shares a development update on its fully native Concorde for MSFS 2024, now flying in-sim with final development and release preparations underway.

DC Designs has shared a new development update on its upcoming Concorde for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, confirming that the iconic supersonic aircraft is now fully native to the new simulator platform.

In a recent post, the developer revealed that the aircraft is already flying within MSFS 2024, with core systems and internal file structures successfully adapted to the new environment. This marks a significant milestone in the project, as the team now moves into the final stages of development. Current efforts are focused on refining smaller details and polishing the overall experience ahead of release preparation.

Unlike previous versions, this iteration of the Concorde has been built specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 rather than being carried over from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. This approach allows for improved integration with the simulator’s latest technologies, which should translate into better performance, enhanced visuals, and a more immersive experience overall.

The update also provided insight into future plans following the initial release. DC Designs confirmed that a Career Mode integration is planned, although it will arrive at a later stage due to the additional complexity involved in implementing this feature within the new simulator. This suggests ongoing support for the aircraft beyond its launch.

Looking ahead, the developer intends to continue updating its existing aircraft lineup for MSFS 2024. The F-16 is expected to be the next aircraft to receive a full conversion, followed by others such as the F-14 Tomcat once the initial transition work has been completed.

While no official release date has been announced, the current progress indicates that the Concorde is approaching completion, with release preparations likely to begin soon. For more flight simulation news, releases, and updates, make sure to follow FSNews.
