Discipline-focused Utility Announced for MSFS, OnTime Turnaround

New Microsoft Flight Simulator utility OnTime Turnaround has been announced, featuring multi-leg roster tracking and delay carry-forward.

A new desktop utility for Microsoft Flight Simulator hopes to take airline operations to the next level of realism by making every minute count. The application, named OnTime Turnaround, tracks an entire day’s roster instead of individual flights, allowing delays to carry over between sectors and introducing real operational consequences.

Unlike other tools that focus on individual flights, OnTime Turnaround models an entire duty day across multiple sectors. If a pilot departs late on one sector, subsequent flights are automatically adjusted to reflect the knock-on effects, bringing real consequences to the planning and execution of their flights.

OnTime Turnaround creates a complete multi-leg schedule instead of resetting after each flight, mirroring real-world airline operations. Pilots will have the choice of either setting up their own flight legs or accessing real airline schedules via a built-in tool. The application connects to the simulator via FSUIPC and automatically detects the current phase of flight, from pre-flight through block-in, removing the need for manual timekeeping. Thanks to SimBrief integration, Operational Flight Plans (OFP) are automatically fetched and attached to the active leg as flights progress, allowing users to fully focus on their actual flight operations.

Flight simmers who focus on realistic planning and airline operations will surely find their discipline rewarded with this new addon. Following procedures by the book is no longer just an empty exercise, as operational decisions carry consequences that affect the rest of the day’s schedule. OnTime Turnaround adds another dimension to day-to-day flight simulation, where knowing your aircraft is only part of what makes a successful flight.

OnTime Turnaround is in active development with a planned release later this year. Although pricing has yet to be announced, sim pilots currently have the opportunity to join a waitlist and receive a 15% discount at launch. You can sign up and find more information on the OTT website.
