DominicDesignTeam Releases Charleston International Airport for XP11/12

DominicDesignTeam took to their Facebook page to announce the release of their rendition of Charleston International Airport (KCHS) for X-Plane 11 and 12. This is their first product for the X-Plane platform after quite a while and their second overall.

About Charleston International

Charleston International Airport (KCHS) is a joint civil-military airport located in North Charleston, South Carolina, USA. It is South Carolina’s busiest airport and served over 6.1 million passengers in 2023. The airport is located approximately 12 miles northwest of downtown Charleston. It serves as a focus city for Breeze Airways. Charleston Airport is also home to the Boeing facility that assembles its 787 Dreamliner aircraft. A host of airlines serve the airport including Air Canada Express, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier, JetBlue, and United Airlines offering connections to a wide range of destinations.

Key Features

DominicDesignTeam’s latest rendition for X-Plane features customized and highly detailed models around the entire airport. Features also include 3D vegetation in and around the airport, custom night lighting, water puddles for the XP12 version, and “accurate simulation inside the station”. Further features include a custom airport ground layout, a trailer park on the landside of the airport, SAM port/dispatcher functionality, and other minor details such as dirt marks and garbage scattered around the airport.
