efbX.io, a new developer, has announced their first product for the flight simulation community. Created by a real pilot, efbX.io presents a new alternative to help bring you an EFB experience that is closer to how real-world aircraft operate.
What is efbX?
efbX is a smarter, more comprehensive EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) experience for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, 2024, and Prepar3D. efbX is a highly customisable Electronic Flight Bag for multiple platforms, offering real-time notifications and seamless integration with most simulators. It has been designed and developed by a real pilot, Katie, to elevate your experience with professional features.
The application will be fully integrated with Vatsim and allow you to view all the air traffic around you. It will also show you real-time weather and give you full awareness of the current live air traffic control near you. You will also be able to view detailed information on each aircraft, such as its age. efbX will be a web-based app, allowing it to run on any device.

For third-party aircraft developers, efbX can be integrated directly into their aircraft. It saves developers from creating their own EFB, but could also bring a more consistent EFB experience for developers who have already created their own EFB. efbX will have its own app store, meaning you can download the apps you need, when you need.
Available on the efbX app store, the AVWX app allows you to access METARs, TAFs and any weather updates. It will feature a top-down runway view with wind visualisations and real-time D-ATIS from Vatsim. It will also integrate with Simbrief, so you can access it directly from the EFB. The application will also offer tools for evaluating weather, NOTAMS and any defects.

efbX.io has not set any release date, nor announced any release details. However, they have said that efbX will be free on release. However, some apps in the efbX app store may come at a cost. For more flight simulation news, read here on FSNews.
