The developers at FastCow Simulations have taken to their website to release the Cicaré 8R Helicopter for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) into beta. This lightweight helicopter aims to offer a unique flying experience for rotorcraft enthusiasts within the simulator.
Key Cicare 8R Features
The Cicare 8R is known for its agile handling and compact design, making it ideal for short flights and tight landing zones. Its home-built construction features a lightweight frame that provides a responsive and engaging flying experience. We can see that the developers have focused on delivering realistic flight dynamics to match the helicopter’s real-world performance with the inclusion of custom flight dynamics. This addon is designed to closely mirror its real-world counterpart, offering a true-to-life flying experience that rotorcraft fans will appreciate.

Moving on to the visuals of the aircraft, this add-on boasts high-resolution textures and a detailed 3D model. Both the interior and exterior have been meticulously crafted, making for an immersive experience whether you’re flying from an external view or from within the cockpit.
From what we can see, the cockpit itself is fully functional, with simple gauges and a basic GPS being modeled. Moving to the lower right-hand corner of the cockpit we can also see a panel that showcases the engine telemetry of the helicopter.

Overall, it’s important to note that the Cicaré 8R is still in its early beta stages, meaning that further updates and refinements are expected. Despite this, FastCow Simulations has already delivered a solid foundation with its realistic flight dynamics, detailed visuals, and user-friendly controls. As the product continues to develop, it foreshadows a standout choice for helicopter enthusiasts in MSFS.
This add-on is priced at USD 23.99 (21.48 EUR) and is available from FastCow’s website here. If you are interested in any other flight simulator-related news, do check out our other articles here.
