Fenix Simulations took to their Discord server earlier today to announce the release of a minor update for their rendition of the Airbus A320 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The latest build features a host of adjustments, bug fixes, livery improvements, and more.
What changes have Fenix Sim made?
One of the major issues addressed in this update is the tuned alpha protection and recovery which fixes the autopilot not engaging and random disconnects. The team at Fenix Sim has also fixed high CPU usage by FenixBootstrapper.exe and Fenix.exe. The team has also fixed a potential issue that arises when both GSX boarding and refueling are summoned at the same time.
The issue of the N1 gauge being crossed out when using N1 mode on the IAE variant, the issue of the red line being drawn in the N1 gauge when in amber mode, and the conditions for the doors disarm function triggering have also all been fixed. The performance of the aircraft in the exterior view causing major has also been addressed. The ice detection system too has been added.

Other changes
The bug of the retard callout continuously playing, the initial engine start sounds being too muffled/low, and the slats clipping into the wing during transition have also seen improvements. The flight model and engine models received some love too as the heat transfer mechanics have been improved along with a slightly adjusted ground effect.
The electronic flight bag has also seen various fixes and improvements; take-off performance calculations not working correctly when using pounds has been addressed. The custom intersection TORA function only allowing four digits when using FT units has also been fixed. The livery manager also sees some minor changes: livery verification has been stopped from running at every start-up and moved to a “verify” button in settings.
Closing notes
The Fenix Sim team has been hard at work after the release of the highly anticipated V2B2 update last week addressing some major and some minor issues. The full change log can be found on the developer’s blog. The latest update from the team hopes to alleviate most of the issues present at launch and while every system is different, issues can still arise. Fenix Sim’s Discord is a good way to resolve some of these issues as the team is very active in the channels.
