FlightFactor Confirms Update for A350, Teases 777X, and Details X-Plane 12 Compatibility

Through a Discord Q&A livestream, FlightFactor’s Ramzess, and a few other developers, has answered a plethora of questions asked by the community, of which few we will detail in this article.

To name a few, the team has confirmed upcoming update to the Airbus A350 rendition, teased 777X availability, and detailed X-Plane 12 compatibility of their addons.

A350 Update

In a question about A350 v2 progress, Ramzess has explained, that while currently no work is being done on A350 v2, the developers are working on an update for the A350 v1. This was a surprise as the developers have commented in the past, that there are no updates coming to the v1 and the focus will be instead set on the v2.

It wasn’t stated what will the update bring, but Ramzess stated that there should be some nice features and improvements coming along with it. After that, work will begin on the A350 v2 which will be a complete rework of the addon.

All that can be expected, however, only after the X-Plane 12 release.

777X Teaser

With a bit of exaggeration, the developers have confirmed that they will be looking into releasing expansions for the 777 v2 in the future. As part of that, they have confirmed that Boeing 777X is a very interesting aircraft and they will want to bring it to X-Plane, however, as of right now, there is not enough documentation available and the developers want to first focus on releasing the 777 v2.

X-Plane 12

Ramzess has confirmed that all FlightFactor aircraft renditions will be brought to X-Plane 12. The work will however begin only once the simulator releases publicly as FlightFactor does not support, and does not like to work with beta versions of the simulator.

As for the upcoming 777v2 and 787 addons, there will be no fees to update the addons to X-Plane 12. For the other addons, if any work has to be done, or improvements will be done to them, the updates will be paid.
